This is a new web site as from March 2020. Earlier versions are redundant.
Due to the novel virus SARS-CoV-19 causing Covid-19, the 2020 programme was in abeyance.
The venue for our future meetings, and for luncheon is under discussion – members will be notified by the Secretary.
Potential new members are invited to contact the Secretary and ask to be placed on our members’ email list to receive further announcements.
Meetings on the first and third Wednesday mornings in the month, August excepted.
- 10:30 a.m. for coffee.
- 11:15 for talks.
- 12:45 for lunch on the first Wednesdays in the month.
As of September 2021, lunch arrangements have yet to be finalised, but when they are, members will be notified.
Those wishing to lunch – please notify the Lunch Secretary by 6:00 p.m. on the Sunday prior to the meeting, indicating preference for ‘Meat’ or ‘Fish’. Details of luncheon arrangements are to be announced.
A specific menu will usually be e-mailed. Cancellations are liable to be charged unless a substitute can be identified. Late bookings might be possible, but to avoid confusion, do not contact the venue – please make all arrangements with the Lunch Secretary.
Annual subscriptions (£20.00) are due on 1st January. If not paid by the 30th of September, the member will be excluded. Cheque or cash to the Treasurer please.
Current costings have yet to be confirmed, but were: £4.50 for coffee and talk. £17.50 for coffee, talk and two course luncheon with coffee.
All retired or semi-retired professional and businessmen who are interested in membership are warmly invited to contact the Secretary.

Our initial plaque wore out its roundel after a couple of years and Probus World have provided another (gratis).
John Alker has kindly affixed it to the wall at RCH, but the Rotary Club has now departed – with its plaque!
In future we may not meet at the RCH – plans are afoot!
