Probus Clubs have been running in the UK for many years and offer retired men and women the chance to meet socially, share conversations and hear talks on a wide range of different subjects. The meetings of our club, Marple & District Probus, start at 10.15 in Marple Senior Citizens Hall which is located in Marple’s Memorial Park and lasts just under 2 hours.
Everyone is invited and you can try it out before you decide to join. Both men and women are welcome of course.
Please use our contact page to get in touch.

The Annual Membership fee is £25.00 effective from January 2023 and this includes membership of the Marple Senior Citizens Association. We normally contribute £2 at each meeting to cover the cost of tea and biscuits at the meetings.
We also have a Book Club which meets once a month to share our thoughts on a chosen book and naturally the conversation often widens into other areas which interest us. Contact Craig Wright on 0161 449 7354. We have club lunches twice a year and are keen to encourage other groups to form. Maybe walking, cycling, bridge, chess or whatever interests you. And we are keen to organise days out if there is interest.
