All our sites are charged annually. The charges for the first year are higher as they include the site setup.
Initial setup
The setup fee is £120. This covers creation of the site, addition of your club information and submission to search engines. It also covers the first year’s hosting.
Annual hosting and maintenance
The annual maintenance fee for subsequent years is £50. This covers hosting costs, maintenance to the software and the site content, and any technical support needed.
Domain name
If you would like us to purchase and renew a custom domain name on your behalf, there is an annual fee of £20 for most of the commonly used domain extensions. Generally we recommend .org.uk which is intended for non-profit organisations in the UK. This fee is in addition to the setup and annual maintenance fees, as we have to pay the annual registration fee up front.
If you would like to make use of our probusclub.net or probus.org.uk domain names, e.g. probus.org.uk/ambridge, there is no fee for this.
If you already own and pay for a domain name, perhaps from a website you want to replace, you can update the records on your domain control panel to point to the new website. There is no fee for this either.
