This is the home page of the (fictional) Ambridge Probus Club. Find out who we are and what we do, and read lots of not-quite-Latin in the process!
This is an example of a site where a club member has added extra pages and news items. There is a page showing the club officers, a history of the club and a news page. The news page shows a list of news items or events, most recent first, and in the Visit to Brookfield Farm item you can see how a photo gallery would look.
You might use this if there is a change from the normal venue, or if a meeting has been cancelled due to snow.

Venue
We meet every 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Queen’s Arms. Members gather for coffee at about 10am and the guest speaker starts at 10.30. Usually we finish the meeting at 12.00 but many of our members stay on for the excellent pub lunches available.

Visitor Stats
Some clubs like to show a ‘hit counter’ such as the one shown below. There is an optional statistics module which can be enabled for your site. The detailed statistics are available to a logged-in user, if you have opted to maintain the site yourself, or you can display the total number of site hits on a page so that anyone can see it. Note that the number looks very low because:
- this is not a real Probus Club, so there aren’t many visitors
- this stats demo was only enabled in September 2019
Total site visits: 3760
